SCHMOCK
This Israeli restaurant is the place to go for the best kosher steak in Munich, not to mention the best-looking waiters and waitresses. If I’m in the mood for a steak and a salad, I just love it there. The restaurant has a lovely interior, with a clean, modern design and it’s got a great atmosphere.

HAVELI
Being British, I do miss a good hot curry. Or at least I used to, until I discovered this new Indian restaurant. The food is just fantastic—on a par with anything I have ever eaten in London. I’ve taken all my British and Indian friends there and they all love it!
The menu is extensive, and the chefs are from India so all the spice blends are original and the quality fantastic. The service is brilliant. We eat there at least once a week and I can’t recommend it enough!

EAT THE RICH
If you’re looking for an unpretentious night out in a retro bar, then try this place. The interior is “disco meets Marilyn Monroe,” the cocktails are huge, the food’s to die for and the portions are big enough to soak up the cocktails! It does get packed—mainly with people in their late twenties and upwards—but you can book a table.

FASANERIE
For a cozy Bavarian lunch in the sun while the kids play, we always hit the Fasanerie Beer Garden and Restaurant. Not only can you sit in the sun, but there’s an enclosed playground protected by chestnut trees for the kids. They do great Steckerlfish in the summer, but also have a good Bavarian menu all year round.
